1 pound of fat |
I lost 1.6 kilograms!! That's 3.5 pounds in my first week!! I cant believe it, and I used two different scales just to be on the safe side of life. Its been really hard, going to the gym 5 days a week, the hardest bit I think is getting out of my bedroom. I have enjoyed the aftermath, seriously when you work out you feel so good afterwards, you get such a mega release of endorphins!
This week I have gone to gym 5 times, each time working out a minimum of 700 calories. This is from 50 mins on the treadmill, which is elavated, if you have a treadmill that changes the angle you are walking on, use this function! It works well with your behind, how do I know, apart from the numbness of my bum, there are massive sweat patches under the curve of my bottom. It does looks a bit wrong but hey, I know its working. One of the girls who works at my gym told me that I should interchange and vary my excerise routine and not just stick to running as the body gets used to running and burns less calories. Therefore I set the goal of 8km on the stationary bike,6km on the crosstrainer or 100 calories burn on the rowing machine. I think I will put in that step machine thingy this week.
Having a hard time dealing with less carbs! My body wants bread, pasta, rice and chocolate, dammit!! |
The food I am eating is pretty cheap, actually it is mega cheap! I went to ASDA (I am a student with no job) and bought 10 cans of kidney beans 16p at each, 2 cans of vegetable soup at 20p, a kilogram of frozen chicken breasts, which were £3.99, a bottle of jalapeno peppers at £1.89( I lurve jalapeno peppers), two kilograms of frozen vegetables at £1 each, 15 eggs at £1. I also went to Tesco and bought their value brand of porridge oats which is priced at 75p for a kilo and two packets of Tesco Lighter Choices Soup for 46p each, so roughly I spent £12! And I still have a lot of food left over, except the eggs because I have two for breakfast almost everyday. I don't think I will go food shopping this week, and the garden, I planted lettuce, kale, onions, green beans and tomatoes are almost ready to harvest. I have the lettuce for lunch everyday. So having a little garden is a great help. Hopefully I will keep up with my gym and making good healthy eating choices and I will be back in my skinny jeans by Sept.
Does anyone else have any weight loss advice, please do comment!
